Macon Rotary's annual Shrimpfest is set for 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, according to the Macon Area Chamber of Commerce calendar.
The Chamber listing describes an all-you-can-eat meal of chilled and broiled shrimp and prime rib. Tickets are $60 a person.

Early October also carries museum dates on the same Chamber calendar. Night at the Museum open house is listed from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at the Macon County Historical Museum, 1402 S. Missouri St. The museum's annual meeting is listed from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at Nolan's Catering Building, 3002 Jims Road in Macon. Those listings do not detail programs beyond the titles, times, and addresses.
