Macon 35, Palmyra 7 in football

Macon beat Palmyra 35-7 in football Friday in a Clarence Cannon Conference game.

Macon led 7-0 after one quarter. Talen Holman, of Macon, scored on an 8-yard run early in the second quarter, and the extra point made it 14-0. Holman, of Macon, threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Sam Quinn, of Macon, later in the second, and the extra point made it 21-0.

Holman, of Macon, scored on a 2-yard run in the third. The extra point was missed, leaving Macon ahead 27-0. Wyatt Augspurg, of Palmyra, scored on a 38-yard run later in the third, and the extra point made it 27-7.

Levi Vanatta, of Macon, scored on a 20-yard run in the fourth. Holman, of Macon, ran in the 2-point conversion for the final margin.

Macon is 3-1. Palmyra is 2-2.
