KINGDOM CITY, Mo. — Macon beat North Callaway 35-28 in football Friday and held on after North Callaway scored twice in the fourth quarter.
Macon led 27-14 after three quarters. North Callaway cut it to 27-20 on a rushing touchdown early in the fourth, then missed a 2-point conversion.
Talen Holman, of Macon, threw a touchdown pass to Kennon Isaacson, of Macon, and Paxton Jones, of Macon, ran in the 2-point conversion to make it 35-20.
North Callaway answered with a touchdown pass and a 2-point run to finish at 35-28.
Macon is 1-1. North Callaway is 1-1.
Macon plays football at South Shelby at 7 p.m. Friday.
