Before you send
We don't publish every letter we receive.
Letters may be edited, and most will be, for length, clarity, accuracy, and house style.
Each writer may send up to three letters per week, one per topic.
Keep it under 600 words. Include your name, your town, and a phone number or email. We publish your name and town; we never publish your contact information. We may contact you to confirm you wrote the letter.
By submitting a letter, you grant The Macon Chronicle and Chariton Media Group an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, edit, reproduce, and distribute the letter, in whole or in part, in any medium or format now known or later developed. You confirm the letter is your own work.
