The Truman State University women won the Brian T. Simpson Invite cross country meet Saturday at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, scoring 26 points to finish first of 11 teams.
Clare Stahr, of Truman State, won the women's 5-kilometer race in 18:17.1. Central Missouri was second in the team standings with 51 points.
Kate Yates, of Truman State, finished third overall in 18:31.7, and Phoebe Canatsey, of Truman State, was fourth overall in 18:36.6. Sarah Williams, of Truman State, was ninth overall in 18:58.5, and Kendra Zeilstra, of Truman State, was 11th overall in 19:03.1.
The Truman State men finished third of nine teams with 86 points in the 8-kilometer race. Central Missouri won with 22 points, and Missouri S&T was second with 49.
Nolan Meara, of Truman State, led the Truman State men, finishing 11th overall in 26:12.6. Evan Wilke, of Truman State, was 16th overall in 26:40.0, and Jacob Snyder, of Truman State, was 19th overall in 26:47.1. Max Hogan, of Truman State, was 30th overall in 27:07.1, and Andrew Kuehler, of Truman State, was 33rd overall in 27:09.1.
Truman State runs next at the Griffon Invite on Oct. 24 in St. Joseph.
