An Elmer man was slightly injured early Friday when the pickup he was driving left Highway J west of Elmer, overturned, and came to rest partly submerged in a river, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
The crash happened at 3:30 a.m. about 2 miles west of Elmer in Macon County. The patrol listed the driver as a 55-year-old Elmer man in a westbound 2011 Chevrolet 2500. The report says the truck ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned, coming to rest on the driver's side partially submerged in a river. A safety device was in use.
The truck had extensive damage. Macon County Ambulance took him to Samaritan Hospital in Macon.
Trooper Miller of the patrol investigated. Trooper Wood and Conservation Agent Kelly assisted, according to the report.
