Maples Repertory Theatre will stage The Diary of Anne Frank from Sept. 23 through Oct. 4 at the Royal Theatre in Macon.
The production is by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, adapted by Wendy Kesselman, according to the theatre's official show page. Performances are at 102 N. Rubey St. Maples describes the play as a stage adaptation of Anne Frank's diary about a Jewish teenager and seven others in hiding during the Holocaust.
Alongside the run, Maples is presenting a free traveling exhibit, Anne Frank: A History for Today, from Sept. 23 through Oct. 11 at 132 Vine St., across the street from the theatre, the show page says. The exhibit originated at the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam for use in the United States and is distributed by the Anne Frank Center at the University of South Carolina, according to Maples.
Exhibit hours are noon to 4 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, plus one hour before and after each performance, Maples says. Admission is free. Group or school visits can be arranged through the box office at 660-385-2924.

Maples lists a free Afterglow cabaret after the Friday, Sept. 25, 7:30 p.m. performance. The theatre's Afterglow page says those parties are free to all patrons, with or without tickets to that night's show, and are held in the reception hall after the first Friday 7:30 p.m. performance of each production. Single tickets for The Diary of Anne Frank are sold through Maples' OnTheStage ticket portal. Listed prices include main floor $45, balcony $35, partial view $35, student $32, obstructed view $25, youth $15, and pay-what-you-can $10. Running time is listed as two hours. The portal suggests the production for ages 12 and older. All sales are final, with exchanges limited to subscribers within the same production title, according to the ticket page.
Tickets are also available by calling the box office at 660-385-2924. Box office hours are listed as 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Group bookings are available through the box office, Maples says.
