The Macon R-I Board of Education meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday to hear a proposed track program restructure and to consider a dual-credit early childhood agreement with Moberly Area Community College.
The open session is in the Macon R-1 Board Room at 902 N. Missouri St., according to the detailed agenda. Superintendent Thomsen is listed for a financial update. Administrators from the high school, activities office, MACTEC, middle school, and elementary school are listed for monthly reports.
The activities report lists a handbook review, a homecoming pep rally discussion, and a gate-duty discussion along with the track program restructure. The agenda does not spell out what changes are proposed for track.
On the consent agenda, the board is scheduled to vote on monthly bills and payroll, unapproved work-session minutes from Sept. 2, the MACC early childhood dual-credit agreement, two surplus-property declarations, and a donation to the Macon Rotary Club.
Under business items, the board is scheduled to approve a first reading and draft review of 2026B Missouri School Boards' Association policy updates.
A closed-session agenda is also posted for Sept. 16. The district posts minutes after the board reviews and approves them.
